A warm South African welcome awaits you at the Aliwal Dive Lodge which is located in Umkomaas along the South Coast of Kwazulu Natal. Aliwal Dive Lodge is conveniently situated above the Dive Shop and Training School. The beach, shops, restaurants and banks are only 3 minutes walk. The Lodge was especially opened in September 2007, to satisfy the needs of divers and local visitors. Aliwal Dive Lodge has all the comforts you would expect but at an affordable price.

Choose from backpacker style ensuite rooms with ceiling fan and balcony, or light and airy double/twin rooms with ensuite shower, airconditioning, sea facing balcony, fridge, fan, safe and tea/coffee making facilities.

Activities

For non divers we suggest you while away the time relaxing by the pool with a cold drink or maybe take in a round of golf at the course directly opposite the Lodge.

Aliwal Dive Center

Situated in the heart of Umkomaas, we are ideally located for daily charters to Aliwal Shoal and the 2 nearby wrecks 'Nebo' and 'Produce'.

Our Dive Charter Shop enjoys all the conveniences one would expect of the Premier Dive Centre on the South Coast.

Enjoy an exhilarating launch through the surf on one of our eight metre rib's fitted with twin 85 yamahas. Our skippers have many years experience of launching to Aliwal Shoal and you can relax in the knowledge that our boats are fitted with the all the required safety equipment.

Each boat will launch with a maximum of ten divers along with one divemaster who will endeavor to show you all the beauty that the Shoal has to offer along with giving you that added security that someone with local knowledge and experience is there underwater if you need them.

N2 south from Durban/N2 north from Port Shepstone

Take Umkomaas/ Craigieburn turn-off (exit 117)

Follow signs to Umkomaas

At 4 way stop turn right into Robinson Street

4th left into Moodie Street

Continue until you pass Reynolds Street on left and entrance to Golf Club on right

Take small turning on left after Kwamnandi but before railway bridge
