Dixon Caterers offer customers a wide range of menu options from tailored menus for buffet, plated and cocktail style functions which are individually designed and quoted on, to a number of set menus which are available for various types of functions.

Dixon Caterers Spit Braai Menus


Main course:

• Succulent spit roasted lamb with rosemary, barons of beef, pork, chicken or a combination consisting of a maximum of any 2 meats

A selection of 4 of the following salads / vegetables:

• French salad
• Greek salad with feta cheese and olives
• Spinach salad with croutons and bacon
• Copper penny salad
• Carrot, orange and pineapple salad
• Lemon and herb rice salad with fried mushrooms
• Green bean, brocolli, leek and courgette stir fry
• Marinated 4 bean salad
• Potato mayonnaise salad
• Pasta with baby spinach, roasted pumpkin and cherry tomatoes
• Coleslaw with nuts and raisins
• Crouton salad with crispy bacon
• Krummel pap with tomato and onion gravy
• Hot baby potatoes in parsley butter
• Potato bake with creamy, cheese sauce
• Medley of baby vegetables lightly steamed
• Oven roasted meditteranean vegetables

• Soft knotted bread rolls and butter patties

• The price includes the necessary cutlery, crockery, condiments, heating equipment, a fruit and roll display on the buffet table and table linen for the buffet table, a function host / hostess. It does not include the waitrons who are charged out at R35.00 per hour each, the necessary tables, chairs, table linen, overlays etc.

Starter: (a choice of 1 of the following plated and served to the guests at the tables)

• Smoked chicken crepe with chantilly dressing
• Smoked salmon mousse with health bread
• Butternut soup with croutons garnished with a coriander pesto
• Potato rosti tower with herbed cream cheese and smoked salmon
• Crepe filled with tomato, olive and mozzarella salad served with assorted cocktail bread loaves
• Warm sesame and honey beef salad with fried noodles
• Caramelised pumpkin and ricotta lasagne with lime butter
• Smoked fillet of trout with rocket and horseradish cream


Main course: (in the form a hot buffet)

• Rare roast beef
• Roast leg of lamb with rosemary
